Kia Tasman Launches in Morocco: A New Generation Pick-Up Combining Design, Performance, and Technology

Kia Morocco officially enters the pick-up segment with the launch of the Kia Tasman, its first pick-up model fully designed to meet the demands of modern mobility. Built for work, leisure, and adventure, the Kia Tasman positions itself as a versatile and technology-driven pick-up, responding to the growing demand in Morocco for vehicles that combine robustness, comfort, and lifestyle appeal.

With its bold design, advanced driving technologies, and impressive load capacities, the Kia Tasman introduces a new benchmark in the pick-up market.

Bold Exterior Design Inspired by Kia’s Off-Road DNA

The Kia Tasman stands out immediately thanks to a strong and assertive exterior design. Breaking away from conventional pick-up styling, it features clean lines, a wide stance, and functional details that reinforce its rugged identity. The embossed rear logo, integrated tailgate handle, and optimized body proportions highlight a vehicle designed for practicality without sacrificing aesthetics.

Inspired by Kia’s off-road SUV heritage, the Tasman combines durability with a contemporary look, making it equally suited for professional use and outdoor adventures.

A High-Tech and Functional Interior Designed for Everyday Comfort

Inside, the Kia Tasman focuses on ergonomics, technology, and comfort. The cabin adopts a clean and symmetrical layout, with a user-friendly dashboard and large honeycomb-style air vents. A panoramic digital display system dominates the interior, featuring three screens including a 12.3-inch driver display, a 5-inch control screen, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen.

Storage has been carefully optimized, offering up to 33 liters of space under the rear seats. Sustainable materials such as bio-based synthetic leather and recycled PET fabrics are used across the cabin, reflecting Kia’s environmental commitment. The X-Line and X-Pro trims enhance the interior with exclusive two-tone finishes and premium details.

Engine Performance and Advanced Off-Road Capabilities

Under the hood, the Kia Tasman is powered by a 2.2-liter diesel engine producing 210 horsepower and 441 Nm of torque, available with a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Built on a reinforced body-on-frame platform, the Tasman delivers reliable performance both on-road and off-road.

Its suspension setup includes double wishbones at the front and a rigid rear axle with leaf springs, ensuring stability and comfort across varied terrain. Designed for demanding environments, the Tasman can ford water up to 800 mm deep and features an intelligent all-wheel-drive system with multiple driving modes including Eco, Smart, Sport, as well as specific off-road modes for sand, mud, and snow. The X-Pro version adds Rock mode, an electronic rear differential lock, and X-Trek mode for controlled off-road driving.

It provides a load volume of 1,173 liters, a payload capacity of up to 1,145 kg, and a towing capacity of 3,500 kg.
