Four Seasons Resort Marrakech Introduces Inara, a Table Rooted in Moroccan Heritage

A Riad Spirit, a New Culinary Address

Around a central fountain, with a terrace opening onto gardens and palm trees, Inara Restaurant & Lounge draws on the intimacy of Moroccan riads. The new address at Four Seasons Resort Marrakech brings together the country’s culinary traditions, music and hospitality. Here, the setting frames a menu that revisits familiar recipes through a contemporary lens.

Inara Restaurant & Lounge: A Conversation with Tradition

Executive Chef Jean-Denis Rieubland, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France, has shaped the menu around Moroccan ingredients, regional specialities and shared dishes. Rather than following a single regional thread, the selection explores the diversity of the country’s cooking. Moreover, its contemporary touches leave the original recipes recognisable, from slow-cooked meats to seasonal tajines.

From Briouates to Quail Pastilla

The meal can begin with traditional Moroccan salads, assorted briouates or a batbout filled with shredded méchoui lamb. Meanwhile, quail pastilla introduces foie gras and an almond jus to one of the cuisine’s most distinctive preparations. These opening dishes place contrasting textures and the pleasure of sharing at the centre of the table.

Regional Classics Meet the Coast

Marrakech finds its place through Tangia Marrakchia, alongside orange-braised lamb shoulder and a selection of seasonal tajines. Seafood, however, brings another dimension to the menu. Red mullet comes with chermoula, while blue lobster from Oualidia pairs with apples and saffron-scented fennel. Together, the dishes move between the country’s inland traditions and coastal produce.

Couscous and the Ritual of Sharing

Couscous also holds a central place, reflecting its longstanding connection to gathering and passing recipes between generations. Alongside a generously garnished version, a vegetable interpretation celebrates the classic combination of seven vegetables. To finish, desserts draw on citrus, rose, dates, amlou, saffron and chebbakia, extending the menu’s Moroccan vocabulary into its final course.

A Soundtrack with Cultural Roots

Beyond the kitchen, Inara Restaurant & Lounge makes room for Moroccan musical traditions through regular cultural programming. Live evenings explore Marrakech’s Melhoun repertoire, Chgouri sounds and the Arab-Andalusian tradition of Al-Ala. In addition, the programme embraces poetic and artisanal expression, connecting the dining experience to a wider cultural landscape.

Autumn, Told Through the Menu

The restaurant’s seasonal approach begins with an autumn menu inspired by olive and date harvests, as well as the grape-harvest season. These ingredients connect the kitchen to Morocco’s agricultural calendar. As the year unfolds, the programme will explore other products, landscapes and traditions, giving returning guests a different perspective on the country’s regional heritage.

A Moroccan Table to Return To

With Inara, Four Seasons Resort Marrakech brings regional cooking and cultural programming into one setting. The appeal lies in that connection: a meal shaped as much by shared rituals and music as by what arrives on the plate. Open daily from noon to 11 p.m., the restaurant welcomes guests around its fountain or on its garden-facing terrace.
