Casablanca’s Comedy Festival Shifts Dates to Celebrate Laughter and Football
In a vibrant twist of events, Casablanca’s signature laughter-filled festival, Comediablanca 2025, is adjusting its schedule to harmonize with another of Morocco’s great passions—football.
Initially set for May 30 and 31, the festival will now take place one day earlier, on May 29 and 30, at the iconic Mohammed V Complex. The change comes as Casablanca prepares to host a major Wydad Athletic Club football match on May 31, just a stone’s throw from the festival venue.
Organizers have taken the proactive step to ensure that both the festival and the football event can be enjoyed to the fullest, without compromising safety or logistics. The revised dates reflect a commitment to the city’s vibrant spirit—one that thrives on both humor and high-stakes football.
“This is a decision made from the heart. Morocco is a country of passion. Between football and laughter, the entire nation pulses with joy. We want to make sure every Moroccan and every guest can experience both, safely and wholeheartedly,” said Saad Lahjouji Idrissi, President of Comediablanca.
