Ghizlane Agzenaï unveils a retrofuturistic universe at La Galerie 38 Marrakech
From 5 February to 14 March 2026, La Galerie 38 Marrakech presents Dimension 2112: The Station, a solo exhibition by Moroccan visual artist Ghizlane Agzenaï. Conceived as the new chapter of a long-term artistic saga initiated in 2023, the exhibition transforms the gallery into a threshold between worlds, inviting visitors into a vibrant parallel reality shaped by colour, light, and geometry cp-lagalerie38-154marrakech.

A living mythology in motion
With Dimension 2112: The Station, Ghizlane Agzenaï deepens the construction of a joyful and optimistic universe where abstraction becomes a language of energy and movement. The title references a symbolic mirror date linked to the artist’s birth, yet the project extends beyond autobiography. It proposes an open ecosystem, a space where imagination circulates freely and the future is envisioned as expansive rather than dystopian.
At the heart of this universe are Agzenaï’s signature totems. These luminous, geometric forms function as markers of passage, both visual and emotional. They guide the viewer through a temporal dimension detached from the real, encouraging contemplation, projection, and renewal.

An immersive experience at La Galerie 38 Marrakech
For this exhibition, the gallery space becomes a station of arrival and departure. From the entrance, an immersive installation inspired by spatial architecture draws visitors into a fully sensorial environment. Canvases, sculptural volumes, light compositions, video elements, and art furniture coexist in a carefully orchestrated setting that blurs the boundaries between painting, sculpture, design, and digital creation.
This transversal approach reflects Agzenaï’s artistic philosophy. Her work does not belong to a single medium, but rather unfolds as a total experience. The gallery is no longer a neutral container, but an active territory of possibilities, where art is lived as much as it is observed.

An art of hope and openness
Rooted in geometric abstraction, Dimension 2112: The Station carries a strong humanistic dimension. The energy that emanates from the works suggests movement, connection, and benevolence. Agzenaï’s totems, often described as protective and radiant objects, invite both collective resonance and individual introspection. This duality, between outward expansion and inner reflection, defines the emotional core of the exhibition.
Through this new chapter, the artist continues to shape what can be seen as a contemporary mythology. Luminous and inclusive, it affirms art as a space of hope and imagination, capable of offering alternative narratives in an ever-changing world.
Part of the Gallery Night and 1-54 Marrakech
The opening of Dimension 2112: The Station takes place on Thursday 5 February 2026, during the Gallery Night organised in the context of 1-54 Marrakech. This moment positions the exhibition within a broader international dialogue, reinforcing Marrakech’s role as a key destination on the contemporary art map, with events hosted across the city, including at iconic venues such as La Mamounia in Marrakech.
