After Ftour des Galeries: Discover Marrakech’s Contemporary Art Scene After Sunset

During Ramadan, Marrakech reveals a different rhythm. As the sun sets and the city slowly comes back to life, evenings become moments of gathering, exploration, and cultural discovery. This year, a new initiative invites art lovers to experience the city from a fresh perspective with After Ftour des Galeries, an artistic journey across Marrakech’s most inspiring cultural spaces.

Organized by AMY – Art Meets You, this unique event unfolds over three evenings from March 12 to March 14, 2026, transforming Marrakech into a vibrant after-ftour cultural route. From 9 PM to 11 PM, galleries, museums, and creative spaces open their doors to the public for an immersive experience where art, conversation, and discovery come together.

A New Way to Experience Art

AMY – Art Meets You is a cultural platform dedicated to connecting artists, institutions, galleries, and audiences through curated artistic experiences. The initiative was born from the desire to make art more accessible and engaging by creating moments of encounter between works, creators, collectors, and curious visitors.

Rather than the traditional gallery visit, the concept focuses on artistic journeys, encouraging participants to move between locations, discover exhibitions, and engage directly with the creative community. Through curated circuits, artist encounters, and thematic events, AMY aims to strengthen Marrakech’s cultural ecosystem while highlighting the richness of contemporary artistic creation.

Guéliz: The Starting Point of the Artistic Route

The first evening takes place in Guéliz, the modern heart of Marrakech and a key hub for contemporary art. Visitors are invited to explore several galleries and cultural spaces that showcase diverse artistic practices ranging from painting and photography to installations and design.

Among the highlights is Loft Art Gallery, known for promoting modern and contemporary African artists through thoughtful exhibitions and research-driven programming. Nearby, L’Blassa Art Space offers a platform for emerging voices from the Arab region, exploring themes such as memory, identity, and territory through multidisciplinary practices.

Galerie 38, another major player in Morocco’s contemporary art scene, presents works by both established and emerging artists, reinforcing its role as a bridge between African and international art worlds. The evening also includes visits to Villa SOME, a creative house blending art, craftsmanship, and design within a beautifully restored villa from the 1930s.

Art Encounters in the Medina

The journey continues in the Medina, where art meets history in some of Marrakech’s most atmospheric cultural venues. Spaces like NoBorder and DADA Marrakech welcome visitors for immersive exhibitions and artistic encounters.

At NoBorder, visitors can explore an exhibition inspired by the universe of the famous street artist Banksy, offering a playful and thought-provoking immersion into contemporary urban art. Meanwhile, DADA Marrakech presents an eclectic cultural environment where exhibitions, performances, and gastronomy coexist, creating a dynamic dialogue between art and lifestyle.

Creativity and Craftsmanship in Sidi Ghanem

The final evening takes place in Sidi Ghanem, Marrakech’s creative industrial district, known for its design studios and artisan workshops. Here, visitors discover The Makers, a showroom where craftsmanship and contemporary design intersect.

More than a simple exhibition space, The Makers invites guests to engage with the creative process itself. Through interactive experiences, visitors can explore traditional Moroccan techniques such as embroidery, decorative painting, or brass engraving, reconnecting with the beauty of handmade creation.

A Cultural Experience for Ramadan Evenings

By merging art discovery with the convivial atmosphere of Ramadan nights, After Ftour des Galeries offers a refreshing cultural experience. The event encourages visitors to rediscover Marrakech through its galleries, artists, and creative spaces while enjoying a relaxed and welcoming environment.

More than a series of exhibitions, the initiative reflects the growing dynamism of Marrakech’s contemporary art scene and its ability to bring together tradition, creativity, and community.

For art lovers, collectors, and curious visitors alike, After Ftour des Galeries promises three evenings of inspiration where Marrakech reveals yet another facet of its vibrant cultural identity.
