The Moment by ZONA Returns: Marrakech Confirms Its Place on the Global Electronic Music Map
On June 26, 2026, Marrakech will once again become the meeting point of the international electronic scene. After a widely noticed debut edition, ZONA returns with the second chapter of The Moment, an immersive showcase that continues to position the ochre city among the world’s most compelling destinations for contemporary electronic culture.

A Setting Made for Immersion
For this second edition, The Moment returns to Playa Leon by Château Hakim, near Chez Ali. The venue has been conceived as a fully immersive space where international headliners, emerging talents and local energy converge naturally. With a reinforced artistic direction and an elevated scenography, the site will be transformed into an environment entirely dedicated to music and performance, an experience designed to be total rather than simply attended.
A Line-Up Between Melodic House and Afro House
The programming brings together artists from different scenes, united by a clear intention: a coherent, current and live-oriented selection moving between melodic house and afro house.
Headlining the night, the Danish collective WhoMadeWho will present The Moment, a hybrid live performance blending electronic music with immersive sound narration. They are joined by South African producer Shimza, a major figure of global afro-tech, who arrives with a set built for the world’s biggest stages. South Africa will also be represented by Desiree, a fast-rising DJ and producer celebrated for her afro house sets.
The bill equally highlights a new generation of artists rooted in local and regional scenes, with Kenza Kayati and Staika each bringing their own universe and a distinctly Moroccan identity to this edition.
Marrakech, From Event City to Artistic Destination
Beyond the line-up, The Moment is part of a broader movement. In recent years, Marrakech has emerged as a key crossing point for electronic music in North Africa and the MENA region, attracting artists, collectives and audiences from around the world. The showcase contributes to a dynamic still in construction, where events, clubs and cultural initiatives are reshaping the city’s place on the global music scene.
As ZONA’s artistic direction puts it, the ambition is to position Morocco as a meeting point for the great international electronic scenes, with productions held to global standards and an experience designed to lift local events to a higher level. The objective is simple: to make Marrakech a fully fledged artistic destination, not merely a place where events happen.

A Record Edition in Sight
The first edition gathered more than 4,500 participants, over 25 percent of them international visitors, confirming an immediate resonance well beyond Morocco’s borders. This year, ZONA is aiming for record attendance and an anticipated sold-out.
The momentum is already visible: the presale phase has sold out entirely. Tickets for the new sales phase are now available from 850 dirhams, in limited quantities and expected to move quickly. They can be purchased at buy.tidar.ma.

A quick note on SEO: the headline and subheadings carry the key search terms (The Moment by ZONA, Marrakech, electronic music, afro house, WhoMadeWho, Shimza), and the date, venue and ticket information are all included for discoverability.
