Nissan Magnite Egypt: A Bold New Chapter for Compact SUVs
Nissan Magnite Egypt has officially entered showrooms nationwide, marking a turning point for the compact SUV segment. The launch comes just one month after production began at Nissan’s Six of October plant, the result of a 45 million dollar investment by Nissan Motor Company. This move supports Egypt’s Automotive Industry Development Programme and its Vision 2030, both aimed at positioning the country as a regional hub for production and export. With more than 55 percent local integration, the Magnite brings together bold design, smart technology and genuine value, all while making the SUV experience accessible to a new generation of drivers.

A Design That Turns Heads
Style comes first with the Magnite, and it shows. Its honeycomb grille, LED bi-projector headlamps and L-shaped daytime running lights give the SUV a strong road presence. A ground clearance of 205 millimeters, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and roof rails rated for up to 50 kilograms add both character and practicality. Inside, the two-tone leatherette cabin, ambient lighting and generous legroom create a premium feel. Storage is thoughtful too, with more than 19 liters of compartments, including a chilled glovebox. The 60/40 split rear seats expand cargo space from 336 to a spacious 690 liters, so practicality never comes at the expense of style.
Comfort Meets Smart Technology
Technology sits at the center of the Magnite experience. An 8-inch floating touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay pairs with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster for a modern, connected drive. A smart key brings features rarely seen in this segment, including walk-away locking, welcome unlocking and remote engine start from up to 60 meters away. Passengers also benefit from rear air conditioning vents and the largest frameless auto-dimming mirror in its class. Air quality gets attention as well, since the Plasma Cluster ioniser reduces the cabin’s air quality index from 400 to 30 in just 20 minutes.

Safety and Performance in Harmony
Safety defines the Magnite as much as style does. The SUV holds a five-star Global NCAP rating for adult occupant protection, supported by six airbags fitted as standard. Families benefit further from a 360-degree Around View Monitor, automatic LED headlamps and seatbelt reminders across every seat. Additional driving aids, including Vehicle Dynamic Control, Hill Start Assist, ABS with EBD, Hydraulic Brake Assist and tyre pressure monitoring, reinforce confidence behind the wheel. Under the hood, a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine paired with an X-TRONIC CVT delivers 100 horsepower and 152 Nm of torque, resulting in responsive acceleration and a smooth ride in the city or on the highway. Fuel efficiency of 17.3 km per liter, alongside a 36-liter tank, keeps running costs low without compromising range.
Built for Everyday Egyptian Roads
Nissan designed the Magnite with modern Egyptian drivers in mind, and the balance shows in daily use. The SUV seats five adults comfortably, and its compact footprint makes city driving easy without giving up the elevated stance typical of SUVs. Four trim versions are available, each priced competitively to suit a wide range of buyers. As a result, the Magnite appeals equally to first-time SUV owners and seasoned drivers looking for smarter value.
A Strategic Investment in Regional Growth
Beyond the vehicle itself, the Magnite’s local assembly reflects Nissan’s long-term commitment to Egypt. Mohamed AbdElSamad, Managing Director of Nissan Egypt, describes the local launch as a major milestone in the brand’s growth strategy, noting that the new production line raises annual capacity by more than 10,000 vehicles while strengthening Egypt’s role as a regional manufacturing and export platform. Ramy Mohareb, Brand and Communications Director for Nissan Africa, adds that the Magnite meets the expectations of Egyptian drivers through its blend of Japanese engineering, intelligent technology and confident design. In addition, the project boosts local sourcing, creates jobs and supports greener manufacturing through solar energy and water recycling at the plant.
