A Symphony of Senses at Matisse Gallery: Davidoff’s Marrakech Encounter with MGG

In the hushed, glowing halls of the Matisse Gallery in Marrakech, an intimate gathering unfolded—where art met aroma, and cigars became conversation pieces. Hosted in the space curated by the ever-refined Nabil El Mallouki, the evening brought together connoisseurs, creators, and cultural tastemakers for a singular experience, orchestrated in partnership with Davidoff.

MGG, a familiar figure on the Moroccan lifestyle scene, was present to explore the stories wrapped within two distinguished cigar lines: the bold Camacho Ecuador and the iconic Millennium Blend. It was less of a product showcase and more of a ritual—an invitation to slow down and savor.

The Camacho Ecuador, with its floral and citrus notes finishing on a spicy crescendo, set the tone for a daring introduction. Meanwhile, the Millennium Blend stood as a masterclass in balance, particularly through the Piramide and Toro vitolas. The Toro, rich and complex, echoed the layers of the gallery itself—offering subtle surprises with every draw, even before it was lit. Guests were invited to take a “cold draw,” revealing hidden notes reminiscent of fine wine.

But it wasn’t just about cigars. The setting itself—the textured walls of Matisse, the curated selection of contemporary works—amplified the experience. There was a sensory harmony between the smoke lingering in the air and the brushstrokes lining the gallery. In true Marrakech fashion, elegance and edge coexisted.

This was not merely a night of indulgence, but of refined discovery. From the craftsmanship of Davidoff to the creative energy of the Matisse Gallery, every detail was intentional. It’s this spirit—measured, elevated, timeless—that made the evening memorable.

As the night came to a close, guests left with more than impressions. They carried stories—in flavor, in feeling, in the memory of an evening where the line between culture and lifestyle softly disappeared into smoke.
