Temps’Danse Writes a New Chapter for Moroccan Dance

Morocco has never had a gold medal at the Dance World Cup. Until now. At this year’s edition of the competition, held in Dublin, Casablanca’s Temps’Danse dance school delivered a performance that will be remembered for years to come. The result marks a turning point not only for the school, but for the entire Moroccan dance scene.

A Delegation of Thirty Six Talents

The Dance World Cup 2026 brought together close to 12,000 dancers from around the world, and Temps’Danse arrived in Dublin with a delegation of 36 dancers aged between 7 and 24. Their discipline paid off quickly. Throughout the competition, the young Moroccan artists posted consistently high scores, placing among the world’s Top 15 in several categories.

A Historic Gold at the Dance World Cup Dublin

The standout moment came from Youssef Mourahab, who claimed first place worldwide in the Senior category with an exceptional score of 90.9 points. As a result, the Moroccan national anthem played for the very first time in the history of the Dance World Cup. Beyond the medal itself, this victory represents Morocco’s first ever podium finish at the competition, a milestone that carries weight far beyond the stage in Dublin.

Golden Tickets and Strong Team Results

The achievements did not stop there. Chama Benkirane secured a remarkable 5th place worldwide in Street Dance, earning a Golden Ticket in the process, a prestigious distinction that grants access to international training workshops. Meanwhile, the Commercial Group category saw Temps’Danse land a Top 10 world finish. In addition, numerous solo performances scored above 83 points, placing several dancers in the Top 15 of their respective categories.
