For four evenings, the restaurant will present specially curated festive menus by Chef Rohit Ghai, bringing together traditional Indian flavours, contemporary culinary techniques and live music.
The celebration offers an opportunity to discover India’s rich gastronomic heritage in an elegant setting, with a dining experience inspired by the traditions of the Festival of Lights.
A Diwali Celebration at Rivayat

Diwali, one of India’s most celebrated festivals, symbolises light, renewal and togetherness. At Rivayat, these traditions take centre stage through a culinary experience designed to bring family and friends together around the table.
From November 6 to 9, the restaurant will offer two exclusive menus, each reflecting a different interpretation of Indian cuisine. Live tabla performances will accompany the evenings, adding a traditional musical dimension to the festive atmosphere.
Chef Rohit Ghai Presents Two Festive Menus
For the occasion, Chef Rohit Ghai has designed two tasting experiences that explore the diversity of Indian gastronomy.
The Signature Diwali Menu, priced at 1,250 MAD per person, features a selection of non-vegetarian specialities. Highlights include charred salmon with radish yoghurt and pickle, basil-infused chicken tikka, and a choice between slow-cooked lamb do pyaza or wild tiger prawns in a coconut and curry leaf sauce.
Meanwhile, the Vegetarian Festive Menu, priced at 1,050 MAD per person, offers an equally elaborate experience. Dishes include crispy cauliflower samosa, dahi kebab with beetroot and pachadi, followed by a choice of morel mushroom korma or paneer lababdar.
Both menus begin with cheese aloo bonda and golgappa jaljeera, while desserts offer a choice between chocolate and orange creations or traditional malpua with rabri, berries and saffron.
Indian Gastronomy Meets Live Music
Beyond the culinary experience, Rivayat will embrace the festive spirit of Diwali through live tabla performances. The traditional Indian percussion instrument will provide a musical backdrop to the dining experience, complementing the restaurant’s refined atmosphere.
The celebration brings together Indian culinary heritage and Moroccan hospitality, offering Marrakech diners an opportunity to experience the cultural traditions surrounding Diwali.
