When Speed Meets Time: The Tissot Pinarello Special Edition

Some watches tell the time. Others tell a story. The Tissot Pinarello Special Edition does both and does it at a price that will surprise you.

Two Worlds, One Wrist

For the first time, Tissot and Pinarello have joined forces, bringing together over 170 years of Swiss watchmaking with the Italian legacy of one of cycling’s most iconic names. The connection between the two brands is not forced. Tissot has long served as official timekeeper for the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España. Pinarello, founded in 1952 in Treviso, Italy, has produced race bikes that have claimed no fewer than 15 Tour de France victories. Two brands, one shared obsession with performance.

Built from the Bike

The case is crafted from forged carbon, the same material used in high-end racing bicycle frames, chosen for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and its distinctly modern appearance. It measures 12.15mm thick and weighs just 74 grams barely there on the wrist, yet impossible to ignore.

A Design With Purpose

The case takes an asymmetric shape inspired by the Pinarello Dogma F, specifically the aerodynamic ForkFlap of its signature Onda fork, with the crown positioned at 10 o’clock. That crown placement ensures it never digs into your hand when gripping a set of handlebars a small detail that reveals just how seriously this collaboration was taken. The textured gray dial is inspired by road asphalt, and the seconds hand is shaped as Pinarello’s iconic “P”, finished in Borealis blue.

The Movement

Inside sits the Powermatic 80 calibre, an automatic movement with 80 hours of power reserve, a Nivachron balance spring, and COSC chronometer certification. Water resistance reaches 100 metres. It comes with both a technical sport strap and a handcrafted Italian leather strap, ready for the road or the restaurant.

The Price

Forged carbon. COSC-certified movement. Italian design DNA. A landmark collaboration. All of this for €1,495. In a world where carbon-cased watches routinely cost five times that, Tissot continues to make the case that great watchmaking should be within reach.

And for those who want to go all in, Pinarello has also unveiled a limited-edition Dogma F bicycle in a matching colorway, with only 101 units available worldwide. The watch alone is already a statement. The two together are something else entirely.
