Casablanca Consulate Celebrates Bastille Day With Flair
This year, Bastille Day Casablanca gathered a distinguished crowd at the French Consulate General. The evening honored the enduring ties between France and Morocco. Moreover, it set an elegant tone that blended diplomacy with culture from the very first moment.
Distinguished Guests for Bastille Day in Casablanca
The Consul General welcomed several official figures for the occasion. Among them were Éléonore Caroit, Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad, and Philippe Lalliot, Ambassador of France to Morocco. Olivier Cadic, Senator for French Nationals Abroad, and Karim Ben Cheikh, Member of Parliament for French Nationals Abroad, also attended. In addition, Moroccan authorities joined the celebration, including Mohamed M’hidia, Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, and Nabila Rmili, Mayor of Casablanca. The Advisers for French Nationals Abroad of the constituency completed the distinguished guest list.
Official Speeches and National Anthems
The evening began with official speeches placed under the sign of Franco-Moroccan friendship. Therefore, the mood felt warm and heartfelt throughout. The choir of the Institut français du Maroc in Casablanca then performed the Moroccan and French national anthems. As a result, the ceremony carried both solemnity and shared pride.
Art, Light and a Festive Atmosphere
After the formal program, the atmosphere turned festive. A video mapping show lit up the facade of the consulate and drew every eye upward. Furthermore, a photobooth invited guests to capture these moments of complicity. An exhibition titled “Bâtisseurs de ponts” (Builders of Bridges) and an immersive installation called “Le cube augmenté” (The Augmented Cube) gave the night an artistic dimension. Above all, a DJ kept the dance floor alive well into the night.

This edition of Bastille Day Casablanca once again proved the strength of the bond between the two nations. Between speeches, music and art, the evening captured a spirit of friendship and shared culture.
