Éric Dupond-Moretti Returns to the Stage in Morocco with “J’ai dit oui”

Éric Dupond-Moretti, one of France’s most emblematic legal figures, is stepping once again into the spotlight as he brings his one-man show, J’ai dit oui, to Morocco for a three-date tour. Presented by Mars Agency in collaboration with Live Scène and K-WET Productions, the show will be performed at Salle Bahnini in Rabat on 19 December 2025, at Studio des Arts Vivants in Casablanca on 20 December 2025, and at Meydene in Marrakech on 21 December 2025. Written by Dupond-Moretti himself and directed by Philippe Lellouche, the performance marks a new chapter in the career of a man who has always lived between public scrutiny, courtroom battles, and political responsibility.

Originally launched in 2019, J’ai dit oui was born from a desire to revisit more than three decades spent at the defense bench. Known as the most media-covered criminal lawyer in France, Dupond-Moretti captivated audiences with stories drawn from his 36 years of practice, his encounters, and the emotional intensity of defending lives in court. After four years serving as France’s Minister of Justice from 2020 to 2024, he now returns to the stage with a renewed perspective, offering viewers an intimate look at the challenges, contradictions, and behind-the-scenes realities of a role few truly understand.

In this new version of the show, he shares his journey with disarming sincerity and humor. The performance blends courtroom anecdotes, reflections on justice and power, and personal insights into a period he describes as “mad,” all delivered with the directness and self-mockery that have long defined his public persona. The result is a rare theatrical moment where law, politics, and storytelling intersect.

Speaking after the premiere of the show in Paris, on 1 February, Dupond-Moretti admitted to experiencing a mix of apprehension and joy. “I was very nervous at first, but it was an immense pleasure to share this moment with the public,” he said on RTL, adding that the audience seemed to have enjoyed the evening.

Born in Maubeuge in 1961, Éric Dupond-Moretti is both a lawyer and political figure, known as much for his extraordinary record of acquittals as for his outspoken personality. After more than three decades at the top of the legal world and a high-intensity term in government, he is now dedicated to the stage, using theater as a new medium to communicate his lifelong reflections on justice and society.
