Future Leaders Challenge Morocco 2026: Shaping the Future of Hospitality Leadership
On March 30 and 31, 2026, Rabat will host an event dedicated to the future of hospitality and tourism in Morocco. The Future Leaders Challenge Morocco 2026 will take place at The View Hotel Rabat, bringing together students, academic leaders, hospitality executives, and public decision makers around a shared ambition: strengthening the human capital that drives one of the country’s most strategic industries.
Created by Hubert Ummels, founder of the Future Leaders platform, the initiative aims to build a meaningful bridge between education and the hospitality sector. By aligning academic programs with the realities of the market, the challenge encourages collaboration between institutions, industry leaders, and the next generation of professionals who will shape the future of tourism.

Hospitality as a Driver of Growth
Tourism and hospitality remain key pillars of Morocco’s economic development. Beyond their contribution to employment and international visibility, these sectors play an important role in supporting regional development and creating opportunities for communities across the country.
The Future Leaders Challenge positions itself within this dynamic by encouraging closer collaboration between universities, hospitality schools, and industry stakeholders. Through dialogue and shared expertise, the initiative aims to inspire young talents and reinforce the attractiveness of careers in hospitality and tourism.
A Strategic Challenge for Students
At the core of the program lies a simple yet powerful philosophy: Community over Competition. Rather than encouraging rivalry, the initiative promotes collective progress and innovation.
Over the course of twelve weeks, students from leading Moroccan institutions will work on a real strategic challenge defined by industry leaders. The project will require them to analyze current sector challenges and develop forward thinking recommendations.
The results will be presented during the final event in Rabat, where students will showcase their ideas in front of hospitality executives, investors, and decision makers. For companies, this moment offers a fresh perspective from emerging talents. For students, it represents an opportunity to engage directly with the realities of the industry.
A National Academic Mobilization
The 2026 edition will bring together more than a dozen institutions across Morocco, including hospitality schools, universities, and tourism institutes. This diversity reflects the initiative’s ambition to create a collaborative ecosystem where education and industry evolve together.
The challenge is also supported by an international network of academic leaders through the School Directors Alliance, a global initiative that connects hospitality and tourism schools worldwide. By encouraging cooperation and shared standards, the alliance contributes to strengthening the employability of graduates and positioning Morocco as an important hub for hospitality education.
A Platform with Growing Visibility
Since its launch, the Future Leaders platform has reached tens of thousands of stakeholders across the hospitality ecosystem. Its growing digital engagement and strong media visibility reflect a rising interest in initiatives that combine education, innovation, and leadership development.
By offering participating schools full access to the conference, along with accommodation and hospitality during the event, the initiative also ensures accessibility and inclusivity for the next generation of hospitality professionals.
Rabat Welcomes the Future of Hospitality
For two days, The View Hotel Rabat will become a meeting point for discussions about talent, innovation, and leadership in hospitality and tourism.
More than a conference, the Future Leaders Challenge Morocco 2026 represents a strategic platform designed to connect generations and encourage collaboration across the industry. By bringing together academia, business, and public institutions, the event highlights a shared commitment to shaping the future of hospitality in Morocco.
