Morocco Unveils Its First Official Guide to the Sports Industry

Morocco’s sport sector has just gained a long awaited reference tool. The Moroccan Federation of Sport Professionals, known locally as the FMPS, has launched the first Morocco sports industry guide, a publication dedicated entirely to mapping the country’s sporting ecosystem. The launch took place in Casablanca on June 24, bringing together figures from sport, public institutions, private business, and media.

A Response to a Growing Sector

Morocco is investing heavily in sporting infrastructure. Moreover, the kingdom is preparing to host several major international events in the years ahead. As a result, sport is quickly becoming a genuine driver of economic growth. This Morocco sports industry guide was created precisely to keep pace with that momentum. It offers a practical tool for identifying the market’s key players and facilitating connections between professionals, companies, investors, and institutions.

Mapping the Key Players

The guide brings together stakeholders across the full value chain of Moroccan sport. It covers public sport institutions, associations, sporting infrastructure and equipment, fitness and wellness, sports retail, nutrition, event marketing and sponsorship, sports media, sport technology, and training and management professions. Beyond serving as a directory, the publication also offers insight into the shifts reshaping the industry, highlighting emerging expertise and the initiatives driving its modernization.

A Word From the Federation

Mehdi Sekkouri Alaoui, President of the FMPS, described the guide as a unifying tool designed to spotlight the talents, companies, and expertise shaping Moroccan sport. He added that the ambition is to strengthen ties between the sector’s various players and support its long term structuring. This vision places the Morocco sports industry guide at the heart of a broader push toward professionalization.

Distribution and What Comes Next

Available first in a premium print edition, the guide will reach public institutions, sport federations, local authorities, companies, investors, training schools, and specialized media, both in Morocco and abroad. An interactive digital platform will soon complement the printed edition, allowing users to browse referenced professionals and access regularly updated content on the industry’s evolution.
