September 2024 at Théâtre Meydene: A Month of Artistic and Spiritual Celebrations
Théâtre Meydene is delighted to announce its program for September 2024, a month dedicated to the celebration of Mawlid Al-Nabawi with a unique blend of tradition and modernity. This cultural season promises to be filled with spirituality, art, and the fusion of diverse musical genres.
To commemorate Mawlid Al-Nabawi, two special evenings on September 12th and 13th will immerse the audience in religious hymns and praises, performed by distinguished voices from Morocco and Egypt. In partnership with the Marrakech Tarab Association, Théâtre Meydene will host exceptional artists, including Zakaria Al-Zirk, winner of the Munshid Al Sharjah 2022 contest, and maestros from the Cairo Opera, Amira Ahmed, and Ahmed Al-Omari. These talents, accompanied by Maestro Moulay Hicham Talmouti, will proudly represent Morocco.
On September 13th, the celebration continues with a captivating performance by the Taiifa Aissawia troupe from Fes, led by the acclaimed Said Berrada. This show, blending tradition with fervor, is set to enchant the audience with its authenticity and intensity, creating a unique moment of shared experience.
The month will conclude in a grand finale on September 14th with a concert that marries Gnawa sounds with Western influences. Renowned Moroccan actor and Gnawa musician Fehd Benchemsi will be joined by the enchanting voices of Angela Moikeenah and Sasha Worrall, along with talented musicians like Hamza Raïs and Chrif Maslouhi. Together, they will offer a remarkable musical performance, a testament to the cultural and artistic richness that defines Théâtre Meydene.
Tickets for these events are available for purchase on-site at Théâtre Meydene or online at www.guichet.com. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience an unforgettable September where spirituality and art converge in the unique setting of Théâtre Meydene, located at M Avenue, Marrakech.
